Morgan Corporation Expands in Connecticut
Morgan Truck Corporation in Plainfield CT is the largest manufacturer of medium duty freight and refrigerated van and truck bodies in North America. They opened this new plant in the Summer 2018, making this their 12th plant in North America. The new Connecticut facility is 175,000-square-feet and is capable of supporting production of more than 3,000 dry freight and refrigerated (reefer) truck bodies annually.
To meet the immense needs of this manufacturing plant, Morgan Corporation chose Reznor Model UDAS gas-fired, separated combustion unit heater to heat the plant.

Available in 14 sizes from 30,000 to 400,000 BTUH the power vented UDAS is great for commercial and industrial applications with its low static and axial fan features. This made it the optimal choice for Morgan Corporation!
This Reznor model requires a specially designed combustion air/vent system including the unique concentric adapter box that allows one building penetration for both the vent and combustion air.
Reznor a recognized name in the HVAC world designed and researched the first gas-fired separated combustion unit heater in the 1960’s and leads the industry in their manufacture of the single vent penetration, its hallmark today. (Model sizes 30 to 125 are approved for residential use.)
Requirements for combustion and ventilation air depend upon whether the unit is to be installed in a confined or unconfined space. Enough air must be provided to ensure there will not be a negative pressure condition within the space.
