Fire Company Warms to Saving $$$
It was time to replace that old heating system! It wasn’t providing sufficient heat and it was costly to operate. North Thompsonville Fire Station chose a vacuum vented, infrared system by Combustion Research.
Infrared heaters radiate heat down warming objects and people below. Facilities with overhead doors have difficulty retaining the heat because warm air systems are designed to heat the air that rises to the ceiling and out the open doors.
A properly designed infrared installation needs less heating input than a warm air system because the floor acts as a heat sink and retains the heat. Objects in the area also absorb the heat. Tools and equipment are warm, just like the person using them.
The vacuum vented, low intensity tube system that North Thompsonville firehouse selected required fewer roof penetrations and multiple burners could be used with a single exhauster which reduced any added cost for a greater number of exhausts.
Less energy goes into realizing a more comfortable temperature and energy savings are notable.
Since infrared heaters are very efficient, Energize CT, incentivizes their use in many types of facilities. Up to $850 per heater is currently the rebate for installing an infrared heating system. We invite you to visit our facility to see our installation of infrared heat and to visit our website www.clover-corporation.com to see additional information and other case histories.
We do site visits and offer quotes on replacement heating systems. We will also present a layout for a new infrared installation and review the incentives available that offer great savings. Restaurants are heating-up their outdoor patios ask us about them.
