New Codes are effective October 1, 2022

The State of Connecticut adopted the 2022 Connecticut State Building Code on Oct. 1, 2022. Requirements of this code currently apply to all work for which a permit application is made on or after the date of adoption.

See our blog post for more info  – A new code will be coming in 2026 when the 2024  International codes are adopted.

He is an HVAC voting member of State of Connecticut Codes and Standards Committee (CAS) who are responsible along with the State Building Inspector for the adoption of the State’s Building Code and he’ll be happy to research an answer for you.
